Downloadable DEMO Version

Download a functional demo version of the Funding the Band software (click the underlined words below):
  • There are basically two things you need to do to get you up and running with this Demo:  Downloading the Demo file and then installing the Demo onto your computer.  
  • Download the Demo version (3.2megs). Download time is less than a minute via a cable or DSL connection or roughly 15 minutes via a 56k dialup connection.  Save the file somewhere on your computer; your choice - either on the Desktop, My Documents, or somewhere else on your hard drive.  Write down the location where you have saved it.
  • Install the file that you just downloaded - First you might want to review the installation instructions document before your proceed with this next step (click here to view the instructions). 
    • This demo requires that you have Microsoft Access (versions 2000 or XP)  or Microsoft Runtime installed on your computer.  
    • If you don't have Access 2000 or Access XP you can download Microsoft Runtime free off the Internet at the following Microsoft location (download time less than 5 minutes with DSL or cable and 1 3/4 hours on 56k dialup connection -if you have a slow dialup connection; email us and we can send you the demo on a CD for $4; which will cover our mailing costs),

    Runtime allows you to run this software without having Access installed on your computer.  Email us if you have any questions with this.

    • Now you are ready to complete the installation.  There are two ways to install the Demo onto your computer:
      • Method #1 (quicker & easier):  After the download process is complete select the "Open" button on the "Download complete" dialog window as shown below:

     

    • Method #2:  Select "Start", "Run", "Browse", and then locate the location of the file (what you wrote down in the previous step) then "OK".  Alternatively, use Windows Explorer or the Windows Search function to locate the file if you're not sure where you saved it.  You are looking for a file named "FTBDemo.exe".  Once you locate the file double-click the file name, which will then start the installation process.
  • After the software has been installed, open the Microsoft  Word  ® document named "demo.doc" which is located at C:\Program Files\Funding the Band Demo\demo.doc (or click here here to view this document online).  This document details some of the most common functions of the software and how to use the software.  Included is some commentary on the data that is preloaded to the Demo system and how you can enter our own "test data". Feel free to experiment on your own!
  • Note that the demo version is limited to 25 student transactions and 25 students.

Uninstall Process  (Optional) - To uninstall the Funding the Band Demo software, follow the following steps:

  • Select “Start”, “Control Panel”, “Add/Remove Programs”, select “Funding the Band Demo”, and then “Remove”.
